China Promots Solar Energy

China is one of the biggest energy consumers. Right now, China’s solar industry is relying on foreign countries for its raw materials and then china exports most of its finished solar products overseas. The government is serious about the development of new energy as a means of expanding domestic energy supply and improving urban air quality. The government of China has planned to bring solar industry in China by providing 3 square kilometers of land for solar power plants, solar manufacturing facilities and solar battery productions.

The solar industries are starting to invest in china to capitalize on Beijing’s intention to generate a tenth of its power from renewable energy by 2010. China is facing the same situation as Spain and Germany faced two years ago. China has increased solar manufacturing and marketing development for its urban areas. The sun is rising for china’s solar sector.

Executives attending an industry conference in the southern city, said if the government wants to promote the use of renewable energy sources, then it must be backed up by an incentive schemes that helped for booming solar markets in Spain and Germany. And investors will start to pop up only when the government sets up a clear incentive scheme.
