Finland needs more Nuclear Power to fill new target.
The minister of economic affairs said in a conference is that currently the goal is to produce enough electricity for domestic use. The government has called for more use of wood energy, waste fuels, heat pumps, and biogas and wind energy to meet the goal. The government of Finland wants to contribute their share of using renewable energy and for that they will need more nuclear power.
Finland focuses on building zero-emission or low emission plants, wind and hydro power plants for coming years. In addition to that the government also urges people to use energy efficient appliances in house and construction. The Confederation of Finnish Industries has accepted the goal of energy self-sufficiency, but they said the government’s capacity to meet the future demand was not possible.
Finland’s fifth nuclear reactor is now delayed and expected to be online in 2012. The environmental group is saying parliament should take the decision on extra nuclear power. The strategy includes measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as well as increase energy efficiency and renewable energy targets.

Using Renewable Energy Source Wind to power your home.
The wind can produce enough energy to power your home and appliances at low cost compare to what you are paying the power company. If you are living in a windy area, you can produce your own energy. If the system produces access energy that you do not need, then you can sell it back to the utility company to earn credit from them.
To install windmills and generators you will need professionals, which in all together cost you $4000 or more. Because of these high prices people are backing off from using wind mills. Some environmental interest parties have created do-it-yourself projects that are easy to follow and understand. It guides you to construct your own windmills to make use of wind energy. It costs you around $300 to make your own windmill.
Now you can make your own wind mill for less, people are finding it more economical and create a system that pays for itself.

Renewable Energy 101
Fossil fuel is nonrenewable energy; it is produced by limited resources like coal, oil and natural gas. In future these resources will become too expensive or it will damage environment which is hard to retrieve. In oppose to this renewable energy resources like solar and wind are constantly available and it will never run out. We have been using renewable energy from a very long time ago. We used wood, (one form of biomass energy) which supplied up to 85-90% of our energy need.
When the word renewable energy comes we picture an image or big wind turbine or large solar panels. It is false assumption that we need large area to generate energy from these sources. The fact is that we can generate the energy to power our home or business in urban areas. We do not need large area to install solar panels or wind turbines. The only thing needed is natural resource of sunlight.
The renewable energy technologies include solar power, wind power, hydroelectricity, micro hydro, biomass and biofuels. These renewable energy technologies are often criticized for being unreliable. It is an urban myth that these technologies will not provide enough electricity to power a typical home. The growing market for solar gadgets and wind technologies is saying truth.
